NAD+ is a coenzyme critical to every cell and many metabolic processes in our bodies. NAD+ is necessary for the cellular oxidation-reduction (redox) reactions and is responsible for accepting high-energy electrons and carrying them to the electron transport chain in the mitochondria to synthesize adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the body’s source of energy.

 

As we age, we have less NAD+ in our system.  This all begins at the age of 25.
